I did not recieve a call from this number but a text....all becuase i am trying to sell something online and this number texted me stating they wanted to buy my item.  However they were going to apparently send me a certified check and 1500 dollars over the asking amount and that he would have someone pick up the item andnthe remainder ofnthe funds were to be given to the delivery driver.....needless to say i did not sell my item to this moron....nothing but a scam...

I had the same experience as Mike in trying to sell something on Criag'slist. I believe another version of this scam is when they send you a "certified" check...then after you have deposited it, they decide they don't want the item and ask you to send their money back-thus cashing your good check. I hope there is karma for people like this.

I just had the same experience as Mike and Santa Cruz.  Responding to my Craigslist ad with a text. Saying they're sending a check, that it will be overwritten in order to transport the item. The check did not arrive today as promised, so I just googled the telephone number and found this. I think they're targeting California residents.
