Ihave two dps friends and it is definately a scam.  They have never given that they are aware of, nor do the promote the organization.  A asked why they pass themselves off as troopers.  I was told that is part of the scam.  They are not allowed to do this.

I get this call several times a day, I never answer it.. once my husband did, they asked for me by name and he asked them to hold on, gave me the phone, they hung up. They sometimes let my answering maching pick up and I can hear background noise (can't discern what is going on)but no one ever says anything. I get "mailbox full" when I tried calling it as well.
