This number is for Commercial Recovery Systems in Plano/Dallas, Tx, a collection agency with very shady, and often illegal practices.  "Dustin Vidal" has been calling our house, and now has started calling our neighbors (most of which we don't know) telling them that he has a lot of money for us and needs to speak with us asap.  They have also sent someone to our front door, and a suspicious vehicle has been parked on the street in front of our house numerous times with someone sitting inside the car just watching our house.  I have photographed the car and driver and reported the tag number of the vehicle to local law enforcement.  I feel very threatened as I have small children that I am afraid to allow to play outside.  They have provided no evidence that we owe a debt.

This large-assed  hippo wanted to let me know there is something (can't understand her with all that cake in her mouth) filed and that my attorney or myself needs to call her.  Imagine someone like this douche assuming that it has the correct party, and they leave a voice message for the poor guy.  I guess they allow these clowns to do this in Texas.  They think they can call anyone's cell phone and leave random messages. Jerks.  They must think people won't research them.

Hey I got the same message on my phone from almost the exact same number, except one digit different. They said the same thing you posted. This person called me twice this week leaving this message about a complaint.

The company calling from this number is Credit Recovery Systems. Thanks to the information provided here (in Alfalfa's post above), I learned who they were and about the many ways they break the law, in an effort to pad their pockets.

Do yourself a favor, if they call you--read the comments posted above in the link. I posted at the end of that link, too.

I'm in CA. They were calling from Texas, but seemed to have contracted someone (a fly by night paralegal service) to also start calling. I guess to make their veiled threats MORE threatening. As logic would tell anyone that a company in another state can not file any court papers against you, unless they are represented in your state.

Sadly (for them) the debt they purchased, is long past the statute of limitations to sue, in our state. So their threats are nothing more than that...threats. Attempts to bully and harass unknowing consumers into paying them. We've been through this before, and know better.

For any reading this who are not well versed in your rights, as pertaining to debt collections:

If you are in doubt (or fearful) of anything they say to you, do contact a consumer attorney immediately to learn your rights, etc.

It is important you obtain a consumer attorney and not just someone you find at random in your phone directory. A consumer attorney is well versed in the laws that protect consumers from bottom feeding, junk debt buyers (like CRS is). Most attorneys (who are not consumer advocates) would just advise you to negotiate w/these losers, pay the debt, or worst....file bankruptcy. None of the above is necessary. But it is necessary to learn your rights, and talk w/someone who can tell you how to protect yourself.

A man by the name of Dustin Vidal called asked me to verify my phone number. When I asked what the call was regarding he said he could not say anything unless I verified the social.  I hung up the phone and he called back twice leaving a message saying that if I do not return the call by noon the following day then "this matter", whatever this matter is, would be out of his hands.  He had my married name and asked me to verify my maiden name.
