Simply ignoring and blocking the calls won't stop the callers. What the callers do is illegal activity and reporting them to the authorities is the only way they will be stopped. MATEY

Ignoring and blocking may not stop them from calling those who do neither but it certainly has stopped the vast majority of the scam calls I was getting.

Yes, all scam calls should be reported to the appropriate agencies and service providers but even so most of the scammers do not live or operate within US borders or its territories and are out of US jurisdiction. Nothing will happen to them so your only recourse is to ignore and block.
