Yea, I thought it was a legitimate inquiry until he sent me a text wanting to move forward using PayPal. I immediately knew it was a scam. I texted him/her back with a few choice words about what I thought about their type of scum bag. No response.

Got a text last night for a $1000 worth of furniture. I always put NO TEXTS/EMAILS in my Craigslist Ads.
I only want to deal with local callers. Not Nigerian Trash Scumbags who want to PayPal Scam you. They
must get lucky with some idiots who advertise on Craigslist otherwise they wouldn't be texting me Scam
Texts everytime I repost my ads. People Beware If They DON'T CALL you & IF THEY AREN'T LOCAL

This person using this number is a scam artist! I tried reporting him or her to paypal and they did nothing so i am reporting them to craigslist. By the way this is a google account number and the person had tried four different numbers to purchase the same item from me! Anyone else who this person has tried to scam please report this!
