Had a message on my answering machine telling me the IRS was suing me and I needed to call 469-327-6040 repeated the number. Called ID said Ennis, TX, there was no name just a town and state listed. Scam and I am not that stupid. What worries me is that these people may call and elderly person and frighten them.

Got the voicemail and then another call from this number so I called back. They guy on the line couldn't speak good English and was hard to understand. He tried to explain the situation and asked how I would like to resolve. I told him I first need to understand what is going on. He actually got upset and said that he has explained it to me twice already. I told him that you may have explained it twice but I can't understand a word you are saying. I sure hope there isn't anyone getting fooled by these crooks !!

I received a voicemail message advising me that IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to call back to discuss this issue further. From this # 469-327-6040 And then they called back again a few minutes later from #469-287-7833 that it was my final notice! I called them back and told them is was a scam they hung up. I owe nothing to the IRS

We got three of these calls today. I reported them to the IRS and the FTC. My first thought was that the call was from a Caribbean area code that charged $20+ per minute, but it's just plain old Dallas. If my wife or I were better actors, I'd be tempted to call, sobbing and crying hysterically, to see how long we could keep them on the line before they hung up. After all, any time I spend with them means less time with potential victims.

(P.S. If any of the website designers is reading this, you might want to consider adding "Government Agency impersonator" to the "Call Type" list.)
