Missed call from this number.. who is this?

Caller identified himself as being from the "civil division".  He wanted to verify that someone would be home the next day to be served with "documents"--scam?????

A debt collector who is illegally making claims they are a process server to scare people unless they pay a sum of money to stop it. Report them to your local law enforcement agency. Process servers are only paid for successfully serving you and will NOT run the risk of you dodging them.

If there are any pending legal matters for a civil item, they have to be done so in your state and you can check your local courts for that information.

Did they give you the name of the company. I'm so sick of these people. They have been harassing me for 2 years! I have filed numerous complaints with the Texas attorney general but they don't do anything about these kind of scum suckers. It's pretty sad when other states help you more than the 1 you live in! Get as much info as you can. Record conversations, names, dates and times. Turn them in to the ftc and your state attorney general.

Literally called  my elderly parents home and THREATENED to bring document papers to their house!  This company had to dig really deep into some old files because I haven't lived in my parent's house in over 30 years!  The nastiest people work for this firm.  I really plan to file some type of complaint for sure.  This is ridiculous to harass the elderly.
