No message

Legitimate charities are exempt from the Do Not Call list as well as political organizations, surveyors and companies with whom you have an established business relationship.  Of these four, you can request from the latter that they put your name/number on their Do Not Call list and by law, they are obligated to comply.

this QVD is believed to be a scam out of india. they have phone routers in the US in different areas using different numbers. [many scammers use this process] the scam can be a cancer or a political donation and many more scams that will work on people. usually your phone will ring only three times and then stop. this prevents the answering machine from coming on. these a-holes  don't want to waste time with machines so they can move on the the next sucker. never, never answer a number or whatever that you don't know. if the number is legit it will usually trip the answer machine. most of these scam numbers can be searched on the net and verified. if you receive a scam call and find out who or what it is get on the net and leave the information for the rest of us to see.

Called our office around 7:45 last night and left no message. Caller ID listed the number and "QVD".

Call from this phone number listed, caller id listed "QVD" as the caller. Did not answer the phone, no message was left. As stated above, only rang three times, then stopped. This unfortunately doesn't stop the calls. They (the scammers) will just change up by listing another 'caller' and different phone number. Still the same end result, scamming for either donations or phony bill collectors, IRS, etc. Any legitimate charity will not continue this endeavor in the manner these butt strokes do. Guess they think we are all dumb trusting fools just waiting to throw money down their rabbit hole.
