Yeah, a fund-raising outfit for some breast cancer thing- I'm on SSI and live in public housing, dialysis 3x a week, and pretty well half paralyzed from a stroke- I told the lady all this, and that I really couldn't afford to make any donations, but she still wanted to push for a "booster" membership! -If I was in different financial straits perhaps I would've gone for it- (the girl was very friendly, well-spoken...) Anyway, I just said "Good evening" and hung up on her.
I wonder if being on the "do-not-call-list", and these people calling anyway, means they are o shady operation, or is this one of the types calls that don't have to go by that? -She really sounded professional (???)
