I missed a call from this number, the voicemail left gave my name as the person whom they needed to speak to,when I tried calling it back,the company name given was Capital One Auto, I've never had any type of business with this company. To no surprise, a caller cannot get any further in the call without typing in a social security number. Of course I didn't, I just hung up but felt I should warn everyone else about this possible scam.

Cap One Auto Finance - buying the cars was easy, but getting calls because I'm seven days past the due date.  I won't do Cap One again for auto finance.

This phone number is Capital One Auto Finance. Most likely, you or (your phone number) was listed as a reference by someone who recently purchased or tried to purchase a new or used car. The call was probably to check references. However, it could also have been to confirm the number provided by the buyer is actually a working phone number. It's also possible that an error was made when the number was provided to Capital One. I've had several loans with Capital One Auto Finance, and they are a great company to do business with. I never had a single bad experience with any of their employees. They were always very helpful. I'd recommend them to all of my family, friends and anyone else considering purchasing a vehcile.
