Just got a call asking for me by name and wondering if this was "the main line for the business", even though it was my direct line. They then hung up and immediately called back on my business 800 number asking one of my employees for information about me before stating that they are with "Goodwill Industries" and getting transferred to me. When I answered he hung up again. Suspicious to say the least.

Just got the call here at work. Same as above. Indian guy named Raji saying he was with Ford Motor Company. He asked If I was Brian.. I confirmed and he hung up immediately.

I help to answer the calls at work and I answered when this number appeared. The guy, who had what sounded like an Indian accent, asked me to verify the number he called was to the right company and then asked to speak to Victor who happens to be me. I said this is him and then he asked if this was my direct line so I said no. He then hung up the phone and called my direct line. It freaked me out so I sent him straight to voicemail.

I just experienced the same thing. Someone called, his phone sounded like he was driving 50mph and had his head out the window while on the phone. He asked for one of our engineers and I transferred him over, he shot the call right back to me but I did not answer it again.

Beware about people calling and asking if this is you. There is a scam bust I recently heard of in my area where when they ask for confirmation of your name, they record you saying yes, then send you big charges. But when you try to tell them you didn't order anything, they have the recording of you saying yes.
