It probably is Bank Of America. I just received a card that I applied for this week. The card was already activated by a sales associate earlier this week. Naturally, before they set the activiation they tried to sell a balance trasfer and one of the biggest legal worthless bank scams: credit card protection. I had to decline twice in the same phone conversation.
Now, they are telemarketing to get me to transfer a balance or try to debit me monthly for that silly credit card protection after I told them "NO". Yes, by signing up for a credit card they are legally allowed to call me cause we now have a business relationship. Why do they do this telemarketing crap and create a suspecion of a credit card fraud? Is it worth annoying your customers to make a quick sale?
If I want to do a balance transfer - I can easily go to their secure web site or a local branch and complete the transaction. Hey BOA - don't you have any respect for your customer and their phone privacy?
