Portfolio Recovery Associates. They purchase expired debts dirt cheap in hopes to intimidate people into paying the bad debt. They will tell you they are 'investigators' and that there is a pending legal matter or court date all of which are lies. The company can take no action at all against you and continuing to call you constitutes harassment and you can indeed sue them.
