numerous call from this number so i called it back.  they are trying to sell u car insurance

Random call. Creepy.

Just a call and hang up, no voice mail left.

If you call them back, they will try to send you a car insurance quote.  If you ask to be put on their no call list, they will hang up on you.

PHISHING SCHEME
Claim they can save you on car insurance, claim to be from "Auto Insurance Distribution Center" or something.  Called back three (3) times to ask where they got the number, are the insurance companies asking them to call, do they know it is illegal to call cell phone numbers at random w/o prior business with the individual, etc.  Three (3) separate operators hung up on me when they realized I wasn't interesting in giving my phone number (which I used a random Google Voice number to call anyway), zip code, name, etc.  Called a fourth time, number is no longer in service.
