These are overseas criminal extortion scammers operating out of boiler rooms using VOIP to spoof numbers and common names to make it appear the calls are legitimate and originating from within the US. Let them know you are aware they are running an extortion scam, have NO intention of paying them anything, have notified law enforcement and hang up.
