Attorney general Steven Mason stating there was a warrant out for my arrest due to debt collection.

Scam.  Being in ordinary civil debt is not a crime and you cannot be arrested or prosecuted for it.  Ignore and block the calls.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.

Received same message as Jill at 12:05 AM on June 3rd giving me to 11:00 AM to contact Steven Mason. Returned call twice at 12:26 AM June 3rd. Phone ringed, but no one would answer. Stated 47280 case# and badge# Z712

This is a scam. I will be reporting this to the attorney general and FTC . They are breaking collections laws by calling after 9 pm and they are also identifying themselves as the Washington Police Department as well as supplying a phony badge number and identifying this Stephen Mason as an attorney general for the department of justice. These are illegal actions and they can be shut down. If you receive a call from these individuals do not under any circumstance confirm or deny anything they ask. Ask for a complete address and true name of the company as well as a fax number. Odds are they will not give it to you but if they do write a cease and desist letter and send this to them. If I get the information I will post it here. We all have bad times bills we owe but that does not mean that collections should be allowed to harass in order to retrieve funds. And any practicing this way is just merely fraudulent and just trying to scam.

I just got the same call and they left a message with the same information as yours. Badge number, case number and to call Steven mason by 11am or a warrant will be issued. What can we do to stop these people from this harassment ?
