If our agent called and you and you were not able to speak with them I apologize.  Please do call back.  If your name and number is in our files it is important that we speak with you.  In the event that you are not the individual we are trying to contact we would like to verify and notate the file so we do not waste any more of your valuable time or ours.

Do some research on this company, New Leaf Solutions (NLS), or according to their voicemails:  (cough) from New (cough) .... They know what they are, junk debt buyers who are trying to collect debts that have gone well beyond the statute of limitations, and don't want people to research and find out who they are and what they're up to.

They are doing very wide-berthed internet searches to find the smallest tidbit of information then call and leave threatening messages on every phone number they come across that might just be related to the subject they're hunting down.  Multiple posts on this site from NLS employees state that they operate fully within the law, yet they routinely violate the Fair Credit Reporting Act in their attempt to collect on these junk debts.  They're just banking on the fact that most people won't report these actions.

Save your voicemails.  Report them.  

I have been receiving calls from New (cough) Leaf (cough) Solutions looking for the former owner of my cell phone number.  They have left enough information on my voicemail that I was able to perform simple internet searches and track down said person myself.  Thanks to their help, I could steal her identity if I wanted.  Instead, I've urged her to file a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General as well as the BBB and I will support her in pursuing legal recourse against this company.

These people call off a bunch of different numbers. Claiming to be several different business.

these people called me on my Cell company telephone, person was rude and tried to intimidate me.  I screamed at him and when he called back he rudely called me by my first Name and said to note the time with that I LET OUT A LOUD WHISTLE INTO THE PHONE HE HUNG UP AND I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK SINCE.  What pissed me off was that he has my Company Cell phone number so how did he get privacy information?  I am going to call them all day to day and harass them back.
