I had a person call with this number and left me a voicemail where you couldn't understand what the person was saying. Sounded like they were under water. Scammer!

Lady with Asian accent called & said she was from US Federal Grant Dept.  I said, "no you're not" and she hung up.

I got one like this too, a few minutes ago, but I don't think his accent was Hindi. Man, I wish scammers would call me more often! That was hilarious! He didn't even get as far as telling me about the processing fee before he realized I was just stringing him along to waste his time, said "I get it now, f*** you," and hung up. Oh well.

Had the same thing happen only the guy cursed at me when I told him he had a wrong number. I said wow the US government allows you to curse? Must be a good job. He still didn't hang up and he was yelling calling me Fu***** stupid.

This # shows as caller id, yet when I try to call it Telephone company recording says invalid telephone #.  Called both my phone and husbands.  Sounds like identity theft, fraud.  Says U.S. Fed'l government selects 1600 citizens each year who pay taxes and have no criminal activity to receive a grant of $9,000.  they stated it is not a loan, will not have to be paid back.  I was given 2 options (I was trying to get as much info on them as I could).  1 option to give them my checking acct info, the other MY credit card number for them to put as debit card.  I tried to get their "department" telephone number & was told I'd get a call back # AFTER I gave info and given to other dept.  I asked for the guy's employee ID #, so he gave me to supervisor.  He tried to give me same explanations, I said if US Treasury, they already have my checking account info, & they could mail me prepaid debit card like others do.  He said they needed me to tell him my account info to verify who I am, since so much fraud.(probably cause I already started accusing him of identity theft & fraud)  When I asked where he was calling from, which state, where is his desk, the supervisor hung up.
