just got called from this number. No message.

called asked for a person not living in this house. I asked "Who?" and they hung up. called back and it's an "out of service" number.

This is probably a spam caller.
Caller ID displayed the call came from Malibu. I didn't answer but the guy calling got caught on my voicemail and I heard him ask for me by name then he hung up.

Called me asking for my husband. I told the woman my husband had passed away. She began to give her vacationing plug when I asked her to remove our telephone number from their list and said goodbye. She immediately called again I did not answer and she left this message : " You probably killed your husband with the way you talk" I feel so sorry for people like this. They have no compassion for anyone even someone who has recently lost her husband. Making the commission means more to them. Hope you can live with yourself after making such a rude comment.

Some idiot (she sounded black) calling from "Preferred vacation services" from the "VIP service" department.  Said I was going to file a complaint against the state attorney and FCC and she says "for what".  Soliciting.  "It's legal".  No it's not, not when I tell you to remove me from your list and never call again.
