The scum of the earth have a new phone number. Same message - different phone number! This time, Kevin Mason is threatening me with an "enforcement action" and, this time, has even given me an "order number" for my criminal offense. What is even more hilarious is they say they will come to arrest me if I don't return the call by 3:00 today. At the end of the message they say, "help us to help you".
I report all of these calls so that others who may be receiving their first call from these idiots can know that this whole thing is a scam. I know when I first received a call like this, I truly panicked and it scared me terribly! Please try not to fall for it. These scum of the earth people will try to get as much money from you as possible. If you think that they will stop calling you if you just pay them, you will be wrong. They will continue calling you for as long as you will pay them.
I report them to our local law enforcement and the officers there are wonderful. First of all, if you owe a debt to anyone, they don;t call you. They are required by US law to notify you in writing. In addition, if, by chance, there is a reason to arrest someone, they DO NOT call you and let you know they are coming. Why would they do that? The officer I spoke with said they never call because the person they want to arrest will be gone by the time the police gets there.
Sometimes, if I have time and I am a bit bored that day, I will have some fun with them. I call the idiots at the number they give me and act all concerned and worried, then, when I get to the person who tells me how much money I owe for a payday loan that I never applied for or received, I say, "You are out of your ever loving mind if you think I am going to pay you one red cent of my hard earned money!" This really makes them angry and they threaten to send out an officer to arrest me. I say, "Go right ahead!" Then I proceed to tell them made a big mistake calling me because I am crazy and I will make their life miserable. They usually hang up. So, I call back and tell them the crazy lady is calling again. They hang up. I call back. Sometimes, when I call, I scream in the phone. Sometimes I blow a whistle in the phone. Frequently, they won't answer and it goes to voice mail, so I leave a voicemail message of me screaming or blowing whistle, or saying you made such a mistake calling a crazy lady. I mix it up so I don't get bored. I did this for four hours one day right before Christmas and they stopped calling me for a few months. Yes, I said Christmas. These scum of the earth have been calling me since May of 2014 and they rotate calls with different lawyer names and different phone numbers from different states. Also, they leave me messages about how lucky I am to have qualified for a payday loan and that I should call right away. They congratulate me for qualifying for their highest level of loan!
Please know, no one has ever come to arrest me. In all this time, I seem to have evaded all of their efforts to arrest me despite the fact that I am not "hiding" from anyone. One time I went to the police station and the Sheriff asked me to call them from his office phone. I did. The lady I called said that the number I am calling her from is not in their system so I say, oh, that is because I am calling from the desk of the Sheriff of (name of city). She hung up immediately.
If you are threatened at all with bodily harm or anything, do call police. After I made the call from the Sheriff's office, I was advised to change my bank accounts, phone numbers, and Social Security Number. I did so about a year ago and, surprise, they now have my new phone numbers! They do not, however, have my new bank account numbers or my correct SSN. They still have the old information. Just so you know, changing your SSN is a long process and they don't really want to change it unless they absolutely need to make a change. The lady at the Social Security office didn't need much convincing from me. I had saved all of the messages and had documented every call. Sometimes I was receiving three or four calls a day from different phone numbers from different states. The bank was wonderful. They made the changes right away and they have a "Fraud Alert" on our accounts. My cell phone company was wonderful, also. I asked them not to put the recording on my number giving out the new number. I called my own number to make sure they had followed through and they had only put the recording on saying this number is no longer in service. A word of warning, making all of these changes is a big headache. I am still finding out places where I did not notify them about my new phone number.
Good luck! I am off to cause some scum of the earth to have a miserable day. I have a few hours to bother them!
