This site has been receiving dozens of posts daily from people complaining about getting calls from scammers using CA area codes. They're probably coming from some scum on the west coast that have gotten ahold of some ancient debt & are using illegal tactics to turn their worthless paper in to some cash. There's nothing new in that Nola. We see it every day.
You need to understand what they are & what they're doing. They're scammers. They're frauds. They're criminals. They're attempting to collect on debts that are invalid & that they have no legal claim to. Tell them to MAIL you a notice of validation as required under the FDCPA. They'll refuse, for whatever reason. Proving that they're fraudulent. Case closed!
Nola, that's it. That's all there is. Your callers are nothing but scrounging hustlers who are hoping that you're naïve enough to fall for their tricks. Left a message on my work phone stating I had 2 hours to respond or legal action would be taken. Said she's from Wright & Lewis with PLS.

I had a voice mail from this number, that was for a family member. They also said I had two hours to return the call, and left a case number. I identify myself on my voicemail, and I think it's very strange to get this message, they acted as though they were calling a male family member, instead of me.

Lol I got the same message on Wednesday . Who the hell is this guy to tell me what I better do. I don't owe any one anything . My fiancé says sounds like a SCAM

On Wednesday I received a message on my cell phone that was a demanding little man calling from PLS, he said to call and that I have two hours to call back 424-265-8009  and was giving a claim # he also added that "I HAD REFUSED, on several attempts to receive Legal Documents . When I blocked my # and called his back , it was a recorder with a lady saying " Wright & Lewis"

Sounds like a bunch of BS/Scam
