someone sent me a text using my first name then said they haven't spoken to me in a while, and that their phone was going to die, so they said to search them on yahoo messenger, and they gave me a name to search them by. I didn't do it because my sister who lives with me received the same message to her phone except they used her first name. She had warned me so I didn't fall for it.

Same happened to me from same number telling me to ad him/her to yahoo msger. I said I didn't have yahoo msger so that was it..

I said who is this?
They replied:
lol if u want to know who this is u gotta addd me on Yahoo msnger, my name is grantleydqx916
My wife got the same message and they used her first name.
I am not sure what scam they are up to.
