Came to my cell phone which I don't give out. A recording about my account being deactivated. I just hung up.

Rec'd a call on my mobile this morning at 06:46 Central. Same as Pat...they said my mastercard had been deactivated and to press 1 for their security department...but didn't identify themselves. I disconnected the call and called my bank to find that the message didn't come from my bank.
Doesn't sound too reputable to me.

received an automated sounding call on my cell from 423-473-8281 saying my credit card account had been locked. It said press 1 to be taken to customer service for assistance. When you do that the automated voice says, to verify transaction please enter your 16 digit account number. At that point I terminated the call, but I'm sure the next questions would have been my address, SS#, and mother's maiden name. When I called my real credit card company, ironically, they ask you to enter all the same information, most of it in the same automated voice. Very tricky!
