I am on do not call list since 2003. Suddenly getting telemarketing for security systems righ after having Verizon FIOS installed. New service provider for the phone, but not a new house or new phone number....t may have to find a new phone service provider that doesn't sell you out.

The ID given is DEFSECURE which would fit with the home security system mentioned by the previous poster.
I didn't pick up so I can't confirm

As for "Opting out", if they really cared about your preferences wouldn't they be using the Do Not Call List?

It is possible that "Opting out" just confirms your phone is a live number.

Home Security System--first of all I told the lady on the other end that she sounded like a machine--she assured me that she was real. After going thru all the b.s. I found out their real number is 480-404-2589 Honeywell Monitronics and they love people who are over age 55 (they don't protest as much as their house is being ransacked)

Received a call from this number today -- ID said ''DEFSECURE'' -- I didn't answer so don't know what their scam is. But it is probably the same group as referenced above.
