This guys accent was so fake I thought it was my Grandson pranking me and my responses totally threw off the caller/scammer.  This number currently displays the name Robert Krechel and the "fake Indian-accented con-man"  told me hew was from Window Tech Dept (or some such bullshizz) and that I had some virus in my computer that was spreading and I needed to get online immediately with him so he could help me ADD (oh,, I mean "remove" :)  it.  I eventually just said "this looks very fishy to me so if indeed you are from microsoft/windows then send me something in writing as you should have all my data (including relevant e-mail and standard mail addresses) already and be able to comply with my request without me giving any further information..thank you"..and I hung up..the end.. PEACE!

(417) 852-4043 on caller ID, Spoofed, of coarse. Every day some scamming, crooked, phishing jerk calls. They hide behind fake call numbers. Numerous calls: 510-370-1873, 989-641-6052, 472-596-0000, 471-599-0000, 478-599-0000, 475 593-0000 ALL BOGUS! All the same annoying results: SCAMMERS, all recently. Gone out of control.

Latest incarnation of the Comantra Microsoft Tech Support Scam.  They talk you through giving them remote access to your computer, then hold it hostage until you provide a credit card number.  Lots videos around featuring people scamming the scammers. Ars Technica, YouTube, everywhere.  Always funny to listen to a scammer start cursing when they realize they've been fooled.
