I just wanted to let you all know I was receiving these calls about a year ago for a sweepstakes I entered at my local mall. They informed me I was a finalist and the drawing would be held soon. For all of you that think it is a scam it is not. They called me a lot and I google the # and everyone was saying its a scam. Next time they called. I listened to what they had to say. They are platinum peaks travel which is a travel agency out of springfield Mo. They call for multiple reasons is what they told me but the reason they were calling me is for the sweepstakes and I was a finalist. Blue green resorts is who was hosting the sweepstakes and they had a special offer for me. Platinum Peaks Travel is a travel agency for blue green resorts. They handle blue greens promotions. I remembered filling out the form but I didn't believe I was a finalist. At first the agent offered me 3 days 2 nights to smokey mountains in TN for $169 with $100 back on a master card. I told them I've been there before didn't really want to go back. They said they had a new resort that they were trying to get advertising for and he would make me a deal. He offered me the Smokey Mountains trip plus a bonus 3 days 2 nights to a location of my choice. (49 different locations) and he gave me a 7 day 7 night condo stay to 81 locations most were inside the U.S but they had some exotic location just to earn my business on the first trip. He said if I wouldn't mind taking the 1st trip completing there 2 hour tour which I thought would be a high pressured timeshare sells pitch but he said they mainly just want word of mouth advertising but if your interested in time shares they go over it a little with you. But for doing that he would include those trips at no additional cost. I wasn't to worried about the $169 but was kind of worrying about them stealing my info but I gave it a shot I just called my card company before the transaction and told them to watch it and any additional charges coming out of Missouri cause I'm from North Carolina. Nothing ever happened they just charge $169. I just got back from my trip to the Smokey Mountains. The agent kept his word and I told him I would keep mine if he wasn't lieing and they ask for positive word of mouth advertising. I really enjoyed the trip. The tour was the best one I've been on it wasn't the best 90 minutes of my life but I wasn't pressured into anything and Ive done these type of offers with Hilton and wyndom hotels I hated their tours. Also this is by far the best deal I have ever gotten. When I completed the tour which took about an hour and a half they gave me a $100 pre paid master card and 2 certificates. 1 for the 3day 2night bonus getaway which I plan on using it for Vegas in a couple weeks and the 7 day 7 night condo stay which I plan on using it to go to the Bahamas next summer. But here's the best part I was 1 of the winners in the drawing that I thought was a lie just to get people's info to try to sell them a vacation but I won $5000 in the final drawing last January which was the lowest prize but I didn't care I just couldn't believe it. I filled out another form back in June and the same company called me. Unfortunately I wasn't a finalist in that drawing but they still had a similar offer for me which wasn't as great of a deal. I thanked them for keeping there word but told them I bought one last year and still havnt used all my getaways. For you people that just hang up cause you think they are shady telemarketers or a scam I can tell you from experience they are not and you missed out on a amazing offer especially if you like to travel. I'm not sure if you hang up and there calling you about the sweepstakes if they take you out if so that sucks for you guys. They told me I can call them anytime I want to travel and they will give me the best deal at that time. I'm glad I didn't listened to everything I read about them on the web cause you can't beat a total of 13 days and 11 nights 7 were in a condo for $69 after I got my $100 master card. You should really give this company a chance I can promise you won't be disappointed. I put the call type as telemarketer cause they are trying to sell vacations but the main reason they call is about cash or key's sweepstakes and past business customers. I want to thank Platinum Peaks Travel and Blue Green resorts for giving me such an amazing offer and a great experience and being true to their word. Best travel company I've ever done business with and Blue Green resorts made me $5000 richer:)
