i got the same letter today. the check was for $1900 and the letter says i've won $85,000.  i know it's a scam!

I got the same thing today with a check for $3900 and a letter with a final notice promising $250,000 when I called to activate. The number didn't even work.

I have recieved a 'Final Notice of Winning' in October!!! and also a check for $1,900, part of which was supposed to be paid for government taxes and rest for insurance on the winning. The winning amount was for $85,000!!! The letter came from International claims unit,185 shaw street,Niagara Falls M7G-2T9. I was asked to contact Ron Clark (Claims attorney) at 1 416 834 8313. I found my letter in the junk pile of papers today. I called the above just for the heck of it--The message said the 'customer is unavailable at the moment and to try the call again later! I browsed the web and found out all this wasa scam!

I got it too $1900 check I knew it was too good to be true.  They probably have you cash it and send them some money before your bank finds out the check is no good then you're stuck with the bad check and owing whatever you sent these scum bags and the banks fees.  Some people will go to any lengths to steal hard earned money.  Why don't the lazy [***] just get a job!!!!!!!  Lower then scum they are!!!!!!!!!
