I got a different call (not the Windows repair), but also sounded like a scam.  They said I had won some massive prize package with hundreds of dollars in gift cards and travel points, and all they needed was my personal information to be signed up for some kind of savings club so that I can also save "hundreds of dollars per month at Walmart"

I got a call saying I won a prize package as well. She talked really fast and when I told her I didn't want it, she was like, "Well, you'll be the first person to refuse this offer." I said I didn't care and then she hung up on me.

Got a call from this number-no message- for all we know even commenting here might be opening us up for more such calls or heaven forbid worse mischief-

Received call today,

Man with an accent asked to speak to "business owner."
I work for a large company and replied "this is a big company, so I'm not sure who you'd like to speak to."
He replied "we can help you with online listing to compete with your competitors. Are you interested?"
I said "probably not". He hung up with no response.

At no time did he give his name or who he worked for. If it is not a scammer, 'worst sales call ever.'

today the same as what you got, they claim to be "Windows Security" and they want you to go to a website which allows them to take over your screen. When I asked where they were calling from they had to consult written information and responded "Canada Ontario" I just keep asking them questions about the weather where they are and so on till they get angry and frustrated and hang up.
