This number has called my home telephone a couple of times recently.  When they get machine (I assume because it has a synthesized voice) they ask "is D***** there?" (my full legal first name which people I know don't usually call me.  It's a man's voice that comes on.  What I wonder is, how do they have my legal first name?  Where are they calling from? But it is telling.

Scam. Pre-recorded call asking for money for a phony charity ostensibly for the families of dead police officers.

Same here, number now blocked.

So-called "Police charity Drive" These pieces of [***] use their pre-recorded message to mention the loss of police officers in the line of duty as a reason to try to screw you out of money. Disgraceful scumbags!

CID "none". Called did not answer no message left. These boogers must have upgraded their software to find an unprotected number in the area code that matches the area code of the target number. I live in 415 and we are getting too many bogus calls from 415 numbers.
