Answered - dead line.  Reading about this number, it's just a scam

Caller said, "Hey (my husbands name!" all friendly like. I asked who this is. She said something about breast cancer. Let her know this is an unlisted number and put us on their do not call list. Wonder how she knew my hubs name?

Unfortunately, The National Do-Not-Call Registry doesn't have any prosecutorial teeth behind it. Still, it IS the law, so it is up to US to enforce it. With these credit card interest rate reduction folks, I like to express interest, then s l o w l y give them totally bogus card numbers (write them down so you can repeat them). When the card comes back invalid, repeat the numbers, but change one. Repeat as long as possible - you get a point for each minute of their time you waste. 5 bonus points if you get in a mention of the NDNCR before they hang up. They are NEVER gonna go away until their business model fails...

My phone carrier (CenturyLink) will not allow this number to be blocked!

Maybe century link in on the scams too! Lol.
