I have received several calls from this number from a guy who says he is Derrick Brown from the IRS and that my husband must call back and ask for Michael Carter and gives a reference number.  Although I am making payments to the IRS, I have the correct name and phone number to the gentleman at IRS who is facilitating me with our IRS claim.  THIS IS A SCAM!

I believe they call often.. it may be the caller who asks for referrals to people who need prescription drugs but I did not answer

Got a call from this number 1-415-690-8134. Said he was with the IRS and need information on a tax problem. SCAM!!!Watch out for this one!

Got a call from the same number saying they were from the IRS.  Seemed VERY suspicious.  I agree that it must be a scam.

This number called and left me a "referral number" said it was urgent. I called and they spoken very broken English. Said they wanted the number for my attorney. I kept asking who they were and she said IRS. I don't her I wouldn't give a number out to someone just because they asked. She said, "Well you will be arrested in the morning" and hung up.

Rec'd same message as noted above from supposed "IRS" representative providing a reference code and demanding immeadiate response.  Obviously a scam. Can't even speak English and wouldn't be able to even have a conversation without an interpreter. I would assume the IRS would make initial contact by mail. Not losing any sleep on this one.
