CALLS MY PLACE OF WORK; ASKS FOR ME BY NAME; IS GIVEN MY VM AND THE MESSAGE IS "THIS IS JAY,I WANT TO PUT TO REST SOME RUMORS, CALL ME @ 415-684-1960"
I HAVE GOTTEN CALLS FROM HIM BEFORE AT MY WORK ON MY VM AND HE LEAVES A MESSAGES ACTING LIKE HE KNOWS ME (NOT) AND ASKS ME TO CALL HIM (NO).

Got a call at my office with a message saying, "This is Daphne, I have a couple of questions for you, can you call me back at 415-684-1960." This message is not your typical professional "business" call which immediately set off alarm bells. I Googled the number and found it was "Corporate Search" in San Francisco -- I suppose it's a recruiting company.
Why do they have to try to "trick" you into calling them back? There's no way in h*ll I'm calling her back -- obviously they're a sleazy operation!! (Dear Corporate Search: I'd be much more likely to call someone back who said: "I'm calling from Corporate Search in San Francisco ... I'm looking for someone to fill a _____ position at a local company. Please call me back if you're interested in finding out more about this position or if you know someone who might be interested.")

Why are recruiters calling work lines? Isn' that against some labor union law? I receive a ton of calls and all from recruiters. Not sure how they gather those numbers, but I think the government needs to do something as unless you're ACTIVELY LOOKING they shouldn't be ringing your employee number, including cell phones,unless it's listed. Which mine is not, so wondering HOW they obtain????
