is this a real charity?

All it said was "Please hold while we try to connect you" and then "goodbye." They didn't say anything else.

I get at least one call a day from this number and its always the same thing, "Please hold while we try to connect you."  Then after a couple seconds its "Goodbye".  Must be just another SCAMMER.  I was really hoping it was another one of those calls telling me I've won a free vacation to Cancun and all I have to do to claim my prize is give them ALL the info they need to steal my identity.  I just love messing with those people by acting completely stupid, right up to the point where they think I'm actually going to give them what they want.  LOL....I'm on the do not call list, but they still keep calling.  If they want to waste my time, I can return the favor.  :)

7:55 pm, 12-30-11, "Automated telemarketing call with no answer when I answered and said "hello".  Illegal call - my telephone number is unlisted & this is an unwanted, unsolicited & offensive invasion of my privacy.  This company needs to be put out of business.....they are CROOKS."

I immediately filed a complaint with the FCC do not call registry.

RECEIVED CALL FROM THIS # 415-620-6200 02-27-12 7:14PM. NO MESSAGE WAS LEFT. WHEN I CALLED # BACK, 5 MIN AFTER THEY CALLED. RECORDING COMES ON SAYING "HELLO! AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR CALL, IN ORDER FOR US TO HANDLE YOUR CALL PROPERLY. PLEASE CALL BACK FROM THE TELEPHONE NUMBER, YOU WHERE ORIGINALLY CONTACTED ON"! ?? WHAT THE HECK, HOW DO I CALL BACK FROM THE # YOU ORIGINALLY CONTACTED ME!? IF YOU DID NOT LEAVE A #, EXCEPT A CALLER ID#?! IDIOTS-IMBECILES!
