got this same kind of response. stating to help with your debt ( sounded too good to be true, and since when does gov't help us with anything -especially those in the middle class; we may be in debt but don't qualify to be low income and get the perks).
we were on the phone a while and their scheme was they give you an assignment every Monday and depending how much you do (hours) and what task you do for them which is submitted on Friday, you can get paid weekly into an acct you will newly open not linked to your current acct ( so that other debt collectors cannot get to it). You could get paid as much as $1200.
I was suppose to receive an email at 5pm that eve or by 8am the next morning for which I was to call the rep again in confirmation - no email ever came and now the phone just rings once and hangs up.
whether or not a collection agency - they are fraudulent in using tactics to get information which I would think is more illegal than running from debt collectors.
