Just received a call from 415-592-5355. Didn't answer. No message left.
Last week received a call from 415-683-7142 and it was a computer recording for a reminder that a Verizon Wireless account is past due. Many years ago I helped someone set up a new Verizon Wireless account and named myself as the contact in case the account became past due. This is a service to help the elderly and folks who may have a hard time remembering to pay their bills. It's not about collections, more of a reminder system.
Didn't answer the call from 415-592-5355 today as it's probably a second round of recordings. I don't keep in contact with the person whose account they are calling.
I did not flag this as a debt collector because it is a courtesy reminder call and not a collection call. The collection call would go to the financially responsible party.
