I have been receiving the calls from this number , they are saying that its from SF Chronicle new papers. Telling that we have past due and pending renewal

Couple of days back, two students came for help to their college credits (if subscribe the new papers then they will get the credits ) .. to help them we subscribed by paying cash ... to be hones getting news papers ... but within days we getting calls for past due and renewal ..

Calling for San Jose Mercury/San Mateo newspaper. Same as the commenter above. A couple college kids came to my door asking  to sign up to help with college credits. It's 2015, who is going to pay for newspaper delivery, especially in Silicon freakin' Valley!?!?!?!?

i did exactly the same - a year later i am still getting calls and i have told them multiple times that i moved out of state - which is true. i guess the new resident is getting papers that no-one is paying for now.

I just called back - this is not the newspaper itself but rather a call center for "multiple newspapers, cable companies and other subscriptions"

Same thing -- bought the newspaper from a kid working for "college money" ... I've talked to them 5 different times, cancelled my subscription, blocked numerous numbers and am getting past due renewal notices ... Yet the Sunday paper keeps landing in my driveway.
