Got a call from this number was a voice recorded message claiming to be I RS and was advised to call back. Called back using *67 and a female with a foreign accent answered the call with "hello" I asked to speak with a name I made up and was told there was no such person.  I then asked where I was calling and the female hung up in my face. I'm guessing it some type of scam. The IRS notifies or contacts individuals through direct mail. Don't fall for these importers.

I also  got a call claiming they were George Smith from the IRS.  Called back 3 Times-a woman answered twice and hung up, then a man finally answered.  Guess I bugged him- he told me there was nothing I could do about it.  I told him Karma...then filed a report. I believe the Call is coming from a magic jack in Novato, CA...near Ignacio Blvd.

I got a phone call from the same people and when I threatened to call my sheriffs department they hung up on me I called the sheriffs department and they proceeded to tell me that it was all a scam not to give them any information in that the IRS will contact you by mail not phone if they needed to contact you to put my name on it

Got message from 4155062403.    called back and asked what they wanted and she hung up on me.    Called again...got VM.   *67 and got through again.....def a scam!  Beware of these crooks.   Report to the IRS.

I received a call today from 415. 506.2403.  I didn't  recognize the number.  The robo call says they are from the IRS.  Good grief.  What is the scam exactly?  And what recourse really is there for this type of annoyance?
