I got a call from Stephanie, saying if we didn't get $3000 into the "IRS account" by 2:00pm my husband would be arrested and in jail for 12 months with no opportunity for getting out or getting a lawyer.  They wanted me to get cash, go to Western Union and call her back.  She would then give me instructions on how to send the money in correctly.

Scared me to death. I called the IRS, they said that it is a scam.

Got the same call today from Daniel Robinson, three times it went to my voice mail.   Haven't called them back yet.  Thanks for all the good information.

left message saying they were the IRS investigation department and needed a call back, heavy accent and could not understand him well. Did not seem right so googled the number and found out was a scam.

Got an urgent message to have my husband call Chris Murphy or Michelle Brown on this number re: an IRS matter. Obvious scam!!

Called 5 times this morning. I called back and asked why he called. He said he was an IRS agent and was trying to collect back taxes. He hung up when I started to ask questions. I wanted to report this to the "Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration", but that proved to be impossible. So, I reported it here.

I received several of these calls in a 4 hour period today. Said her name was Alex Baker and yes, with a very thick accent. I let the machine take them all. These calls were for my Mother who has been dead for many years. I called her accountant and then realized that Ms. Alex Baker ended this threatening call with "Take Care"........ Silly Me
