fake Fraternal Order of Police solicitation... another scam again, and on another number!!!

Thanks Dennis for the info.  I didn't answer the phone and no message was left.  I have received many calls from the Fraternal Order of Police asking for money but this is the first time from area code 415.   These people don't know how to take NO for an answer.  Money collected by this group never goes to my local police department.

Caller ID "Unknown name".  The caller did not go through the prompts to bypass my call screening device.

I have to add some information to my previous post.  The Fraternal Order of Police is not listed at the Charity Navigator web site because they are not a non profit charity but they are a police union.  They collect money to support police officers in law suits among other things.  There doesn't seem to be a way to verify how the money collected is distributed.  I support my local police department and most unions but do not like being harassed on the phone for money.
