Call ID on my cell phone sez "SPL Deals" is the name of the company.

I keep getting calls as well from this number. Nobody will answer. The las time I could hear someone on the line but they would not say anything and eventually hung up. I called the number and it has an automated message saying that it is a telemarketing number and if I want to put my number so that they don't call me to press 1.  It then tells me to dial my number after the beep. There never is a beep. Then I press 2 to "speak to a live person" but then it immediately say that the voicemail is full.  I just don't get why they and just hang up as soon as I pick up. What is that doing for them? Is somebody just trying to go through their call list so as not to have to deal with Amy confrontation.

I received a phone call from this number several days ago telling me that they were a Rewards company and they wished to send me a $100 gift card because I had shopped at Wal-mart, Target, or some other stores (I don't remember).  They had my name and address and asked for a credit card number to collect the $2.95 S&S.  *snorts*  Yeah, right.  I could smell that scam a mile away and said, "No, thank you."  I received three more phone calls from them, each more frenzied than the last as they all but begged for my CC number and got increasingly more abusive each time I denied it to them.

Now, they call multiple times a day and as soon as I answer, they hang up.  I've had them blocked by my phone service and hopefully when the 90 days runs out they'll have given up.  *sigh*

I called the provider: Peerless Network Of California; Daniel Meldazis, Director of Regulatory Affairs at 312-506-0933.  An left a message regarding this fraudulent call.  I have also contacted my attorney to file a federal alw suit against Peerless for a Cease and Desist and damages.  possibly a legal action against the provider will wake them up and they will strive to be proactive on this type of scam.

We have also provided information to our local Fox affiliate in hopes that they will run a story on these people.

I am getting multiple calls a day from this number and they hang up when I answer... Please help remove them
