Got a call and message from this number. Saying that they are from IRS. Glad to know this is a SCAM!!!!

I called back and gave my name.  Should i be worried?

they called and said that it was about fruadulent tax filing and needed me to verify my address.I then asked him to read what he had and I would confirm it.then he hung up on me.sounded like he was from India or somewhere out of the USA.I called back to see why they hung up and now I get no answer...

Got a call from (415)-363-0183 saying he was someone from the IRS but I could hardly understand anything he was saying because he was an Indian or from some other country so he read me this long speel about my 2014 taxes were wrong and I owed $3800.00 more dollars so when he got through reading I told him that I did not understand one word he had said and that he needed to put someone on the line that could speak English and I also ask him if he worked for the IRS what was his badge number and he hung up so I tried to call him back and got no answer and anyone that has ever tried to call the IRS knows if you do by chance get hold of a live person consider yourself lucky but I do know they have an answering machine so this is a scam.

I received a voicemail from a Nikki Johnson saying it was the IRS calling with a time sensitive matter. It said not to ignore the message and call back quickly before they take any action. At the end it said "Goodbye and take care" which through me off and was immediately a red flag, because I've never received an automated message from these types of establishments like this before. So, I called back and they asked my name, and then THEY hung up on me!! So, I called back a second time and upon answering the call they immediately ask for my social, BEFORE even asking my name (so obviously they have caller ID and knew it was me again). I then said, "I'm not giving you my social until you tell me what this is regarding" and then they instantly hung up. I called a third time and they picked up but didn't say anything this time, so I just said I was reporting them and the number to the police, yada yada and they hung up on me again. The message was automated but the person who kept answering had an accent that sounded like it was middle eastern or India. I hope enough people see these reviews before they give out their SSN's and fall victim to this scam!!
