Received a call from (415)323-4539, it was a recording. Said that I have won.

I received a call on my cell phone from 415-323-4539.  I glanced at my caller ID but didn't pay much attention, and since the area code is close to a Toronto area code which I do get calls from, I answered.  What I got was a recording saying I had won some prize (but they didn't say who the company or organization was), and to collect my prize, I had to press 1.  I immediately hung up, but since I answered, I am still going to be charged for the call.  I live just outside Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and this call appears to have originated from Nicasio, California, which means that I'll get a lovely long distance charge for this.  

I'd really like to kick the people who do these things.

They call me all the time. I answered once and told them where to go. The same girl leaves msg's on my phone saying the same thing..Congrats you have won a great prize...blah blah. But never says what it is, just call to claim it. She sounds sick of repeating the same thing over and over. It's annoying.

Yeah, I got that too! Ignore it.

Got a call from this number, thought maybe it was my friend who is travelling.  When I answered the call disconnected.  Not sure what they wanted or if it was just a test to see if the number they dialed was a live line....hopefully I do not get anymore calls from them.
