collection company of some sort; leaves msg, says 'call our 877 number'

A man called me and said he was mediator and did not represent First Cash, but that I owed about $1000.00 for a cash advance. I have never heard of First Cash in California, nor could he or would he provide me with the location of the so called cash advance. This was from 2006 and he said they are going to small claims, and when I insisted that I wanted information he said you do not want to take care of this and said I wish you luck and hung up on me.

Threating me that I will be arrested because I owe money from a credit card
Is this true?

I've been getting calls every day asking for someone called "Newton Rink". At least I think that is what they were saying. After several days of this I pushed 1 to talk to someone and when I asked who they were they got very rude and aggressive.
