Ugh, and the calls continue:
11/4/15 – 415-316-0558, 5:22pm – A woman called asking if we have any apartments available at one of the specific addresses. I asked where she heard about us, and she said she was searching online. I told her that we are not stupid here, and we know that she keeps calling us from the same number going up a digit each time, asking the same questions. After a moment of silence she meekly said “I’m sorry for disturbing you ma’am” and hung up.
11/5/15 – 415-316-0466, 9:21am – A woman called asking if we have any 2 or 3 bedrooms available at one of the same addresses between now and January. I asked where she heard about us, and she said from a friend. I told her that we are not stupid here, and I know that she is calling from the same 316 number that others have called from asking the exact same questions. As I was still talking, she spoke over me saying “I’m sorry for bothering you” and hung up.
11/6/15 – 415-316-0465, 9:05am – A man called saying he is looking for a studio or one bedroom apartment and he is wondering if we have any available at one of the same specific addresses. I asked him where he’s calling from, and he said “what do you mean where am I calling from?” I told him that I know that a bunch of people keep calling us from 316-04 numbers with different ending digits, and they all ask the same questions about the same buildings, so I know that someone is paying him to make this call. He said “you think someone is paying me to make this call?” I said yes. He said he didn’t know what I was talking about and he is in San Francisco looking for an apartment. I said okay, then give me a number I can call you back at, since I know that this number 415-316-0465 won’t work because whenever I try to call you guys back I just get a busy tone. He said he wasn’t aware of that and there must be a problem with AT&T. I told him that the number won’t work, so give me one that will. He said “okay, I’m sorry for bothering you” and hung up.
