The call came in today, 4/1/2014, at 12:38 pm from a male with  a very heavy Indian accent.  He left a very demanding message.  He said his name is Steve Butler and he is from the Tax Litigation Department.  The message states to call the second the message is received and don't try to destroy the message.  He mentioned an income tax deficiency.  A reference number was left on the message and a number to call.  The voice mailbox for this number is full...no message was left, as I felt this was a scam.  After reading reports of others who have received similar calls I am convinced this is a scam.

I got the same call this evening from a male with a bad Indian accent, mentioning something about taxes and collection.   I have heard about this kind of call in my area, so probably a scam.

I recd this message today and I felt this is a scam. IRS doesn't call any one. If there is any issues with your tax they will send you an email. Just ignore and enter this number into do not call list.
