I just receive this same call from Laurie, she told me I owe 6400 and that I would go to jail if I didn't pay half today.

This Is An Awesome Throwback Scam. They Don't Make 'Em Like This No More: Heavy Middle Eastern Accents With Stereotypical American Names, Muffled Voices & Lots Of Background Noise, Caller Making Ridiculous Statements....It's All So Old-School & So Obviously Phony!!! Believe it Or Not People Fell For This BS Way Back In The Day, Because A Call From The IRS Was Like DOOM. All They Had To Do Was Just Call, And People Actually Fell For It. Because Of Caller ID & The Internet, Today's Phone Scams Are More Sophisticated, But Still Scams Nonetheless. They Now Call From Spoofed American Numbers, Not From Overseas. Instead Of Heavy Foreign Accents, You Now Get Official Sounding American Voices That Really Sound Legit, With All The Legal Jargon, Financial Longo, Criminal Buzzwords. A Simple Phone Call No Longer Does The Trick, So Today's Scammers Use Existing Addresses In Office Parks & Shopping Plazas, & Set Up Phony Webpages Because They Know We Will Google Them.

Only Legitimate Salespeople & Legitimate Collectors Care About DO NOT CALL Lists & Pay Attention To FTC/FCC Regulations. Phone Scammers Do Not Give A F*ck....Cuz They Are SCAMMERS. That's Why The Attorney General & The Various Regulatory Agencies Cannot Really Put A Stop To Them. The Only Thing We Can Do As Consumers Is Keep Each Other Informed On Websites & Blogs Such As This, Turn Info Over To The Authorities So That They At Least Have Documentation, Then Do What We Do: F*ck With Them Relentlessly Until They Stop Calling You.

These Scammers Count On Calling Someone Like An Elderly Person Who Is Immediately Trusting, Vulnerable, & Without Caller ID & Internet Access. Imagine Getting A Call Like This 30 Years Ago With No Internet, No Caller ID, No Scam Blogs....Damn Right You Are Gonna Be Scared & Upset. That's What They Want. If These A**holes Call 10 People & Only Get 3 to Take The Bait & Pay Them, Then That's Still A .300 Average & They've Still Made A Killing.
