Also got the same automated message, threatening legal action. I’m glad I googled this number. Sounds very fishy…Beware, its obviously a SCAM!!!

What is curious to me is we received this same call one day after filing a return on-line with Turbotax which makes me suspicious that they have hacked into TurboTax on-line system and captured phone numbers and who knows what other information.

I reported this number to the IRS after receiving several calls with the automated messages.

Just curious, since they apparently have some information about you, i.e. phone number and names; what kind of damage could they do with that? And how are they targeting who gets a call or not? Anyone have ideas concerning these two questions?
