at 8:05 a.m. we got a a call from this phone number.  I am working at home today so picked up phone, usually I screen or let answering machine get it.  Caller asked for my wife, but talked in slow manner, almost like child. I asked who was calling and could not understand answer, asked again same result.  My wife was sitting near so I gave phone to her, thought maybe she could figure it out.  She could not.  I got phone back and again tried to figure out what it was.  I could hear others talking in large group in background (like a call center). Finally, told them we were not interested and hung up.   Wife says they said something like falling taxes, or investigate, but no sense.   I don't know if they were legit, but it sure sounds like NOT, as what decent company would hire phone reps that you really can't understand and why would they call so early from California (415 area code).

They called me and threatened to issue a warrant for my arrest if I don't wire fax to them what I owe to the IRS.
I do owe money and I am in the process of settling it so it sounded credible. When they demanded at least half the amount to be paid within the hour and not by credit card or from my account I understood it was a scam.
Beware it's a scam

Got call 3 times today. Answered once and talk to a guy. He indicated that he is from IRS and I owe money and a warrant is issued my name. To avoid arrest pay on credit card half amount.
it is a scam, do not give any personal info and pay any money. Report the phone number to local authority. If IRS own any money, they  contact you via mail.
