I too used Lending Tree last week for an auto loan.. y'all must be correct on the above. If they don't leave me a message, I'm not calling them back.

Called asking for me by name, of course I said "I" wasn't available. Asked when "I" would be back, uh huh. Tried calling the number back several times and guess what, someone answers then hangs right up. The number used to belong to a locksmith in San Fran, but since I live in Texas I know it was something funny. Showed up on TMO name ID as VoIP CALLER... I SMELL SCAM!

Also when you call you get hold music up front, then they "answer" by breathing then hanging up...

Got this same call it's from a firm that drums up business for Lexington law a credit repair business , I applied for a car loan and these people called me and said they would call me back on the car loan but would I like to join Lexington law @$100 a month to repair errors on my credit report oh and they never called back on the car loan , it's a bait and switch scam

Lexington Law sounds plausible .. I been doing a bit lately to repair my credit, and probably put my phone number somewhere on the internet.
