They call themselves "Builders Remodeling Center" and say that they will be in your neighborhood and want to stop by to give you an estimate. This is a scam and probably they are casing houses, because--as I played along--they asked more questions about when someone would *or would not* be home...

The caller ID number is a phony too.

Some slimeball BS "contractor" called twice today + twice last week.  

Sure, I'm going to hire a contractor over the phone.

They would probably be candidates for that "To Catch A Contractor" show on SpikeTV, (which is a great show).
